ABOUT US

The Moulin de la Plaine is a mill with historical roots, with the first written records dating back to the 17th century. Originally a flour mill, the last operation on the site was a foundry factory, which was closed in 2001. In 2004, Mr. Chevalier purchased and transformed it to develop "L'île ô Reflets." In 2025, Agathe and Gérard, Bénédicte and Arnaud, sisters and brothers-in-law, took over and created "Le Domaine du Moulin de la Plaine." We will continue to develop this charming hamlet to meet the expectations of our guests.

FAQ

What time can I arrive?

We welcome you every day between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. If you wish to arrive earlier or later, we will try to be flexible whenever possible. In any case, we kindly ask you to specify your arrival time by the day before your visit so we can make the necessary arrangements.

What time can I have breakfast?

In our guesthouse, we serve breakfast between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM during the week, and until 10:00 AM on weekends. If you have a time constraint and need to have breakfast earlier, please let us know, and we can propose a solution.

I don’t want to have breakfast, am I entitled to a discount?

A bedroom is a room located in the owner's house, with a private bathroom, and the living areas are shared. The rental always includes linens and breakfast. This is a rule and cannot result in any refund.

What time should I check out?

You must vacate your room or gîte by 11:00 AM at the latest. If you do not respect this time, an additional charge, possibly equivalent to one night’s stay, will be applied.

What about my car?

Our property is fully enclosed. The gate is locked with a digicode. A parking area is available for all guests. An electric car charging station is available in the village.

If I come by bike, motorcycle, or horseback?

We have a covered garage that we can make available for motorcycles or bikes. For your horse, the meadow should suffice. Its neighbors, Rocky the pony and Ursula the donkey, will keep it company.

If I’m traveling with my pet?

For allergy reasons, pets are not allowed in the bedrooms. Only guests staying in the gîtes can bring their dog, as long as it doesn’t sleep on the bed, is kept on a leash within the estate, and its waste is cleaned up. If there are damages or excessive cleaning required, a fee may be deducted from your deposit.

Can I smoke?

For safety reasons and for the comfort of all, smoking is strictly prohibited in the bedrooms, common areas, and gîtes. Ashtrays are available outside. And if not, follow our lead and quit smoking!!

Can I eat in my room?

Snacks, light meals, picnics, and full meals are not permitted in the bedrooms. A common lounge is available for guests to have their meals.

Can I have a barbecue?

Yes, of course. Each gîte is equipped with a barbecue or a plancha. For safety reasons, we ask that you leave them in their original position. Charcoal is not provided. Bags can be purchased on-site (+ €12).

And what about swimming?

Our private pool is available for all guests, so it will be shared. It is heated from May to September and accessible from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Swimming is unsupervised. Minors must always be accompanied by their parents and/or an adult in charge, who are solely responsible for their supervision. Any inappropriate behavior or use (disrespecting other swimmers) could lead to denial of access to the pool. We reserve the right to deny pool access if we have doubts about the water quality.

In the summer season, the more courageous can swim in the mill race (only on the meadow side) at their own risk.

Can I use the jacuzzi?

It is available for a session of up to 50 minutes, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and only by prior reservation. Minors are allowed under the supervision and responsibility of their parents and/or an adult in charge, who are solely responsible for their supervision. We reserve the right to deny access to the jacuzzi if we have doubts about the water quality.

Can I play a little tennis?

The tennis court is available for a session of up to 2 hours, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and only by prior reservation. We have a few rackets available, but we recommend bringing your own equipment.

Guests must adhere strictly to all instructions and guidelines from the owner regarding access and use of this shared space.

Can I use the pétanque court?

Pétanque balls are available at the reception. Guests must adhere strictly to all instructions and guidelines from the owner regarding access and use of this shared space.
